A Worthy Winner

Left to Right:- James Kerr, Rob Reid and Alan Dean

On the 10th April 2006 at the Banqueting House,Whitehall Palace, London, Mr Rob Reid accepted the award and trophy from Dr Stephen Ladyman MP, Minister of State, Department of Transport, for the Seatrade Award:- Safety At Sea 2006. This category had entries from all over the world and the final was competed between Det Norske Veritas of Norway, Viking Life-Saving of Denmark and C Rescue of Scotland. The award was sponsored by Lloyd's Register with an international judging panel for the final. It proves conclusively that winners are chosen purely on the effectiveness of the product. The organisers of the prestigious Seatrade Awards must be congratulated for the original concept of the scheme, and for the manner in which the awards evening was conducted. If the outcome makes the sea a safer place, then all the effort will have been worthwhile.’
